Joe was born in Castro Valley, CA on 28 Dec 84. He moved to Discovery Bay with his Dad, Kevin Graves, were he was raised by Kevin as a single parent. He graduated from Liberty HS with a 3.8 GPA. In hi senior year, Joey came to his dad and said he wanted to be a soldier and protect his country. He joined the Army through the delayed entry program at 17 years of age. Joey joined the Army as an MP with aspirations to be an FBI agent. His first duty station was in Yung San, South Korea serving with the 55th MP Company, later assigned to the 110th MP Company, 720th MP Battalion at Fort Hood Texas. In November 2005, he deployed to Camp Ashraf, Iraq. Joey loved God, his family, his country ….. and made the ultimate sacrifice for his country by giving his life to protect our freedoms.
