Justin returned to Hanford with high expectations for his second time in a non-wing sprint car. Justin ran very good in his tfirst start two weeks ago. Started 18th in his first race, he quickly showed he would be a contender in these cars by moving through the field to finish 6th. Justin started off his second weekend in the car by qualifying 7th, then started 5th and won his heat race. Justin dueled with Series Ace and Champion Peter Murphy to score his first non-wing Sprint Car win in only his second time in the car. Justin started sixth in the main event and battled tooth and nail with Peter Murphy and Michael Faccinto over the last few laps to score the victory. Steve Harris, has stepped forward and is really helping Justin out with his Sprint Car effort. Justin works full time for Steve, and maintains his car in his off time and spare time.t

"This win is awesome, it feels great to battle with Peter, (Murphy), and Michael, (Faccinto), and come out on top. I caught a break, but had to take advantage of it. Peter has really been great in helping me understand these cars, and has given me some very needed input. I also really need to thank Steve Harris and Racing For The Troops. With out Steve's help this sprint car effort would not have come together. I just hope he beats this cancer thing. We can do some good things together, and I'm looking forward to Kyle getting into the wing car, he was here supporting me this weekend, along with Bobby and Sean McMahan, Keith, Dean, and Scott." ...Justin (Photos by Brian Ratzlaff at racingimagery.com)
