The Placerville show was a point average night so there was no qualifying. Leading the Dirt pvilepoints race meant Justin would be starting at the back of one of the heat races. Dave Thurston and Justin had a good setup, and the car was fast. Justin marched forward and took the lead at the midway point of the heat race and never looked back. He held off a brief challenge from Quintin Crye and won the heat race. The main event started much the same way. Starting at the back he moved forward, but got tangled up in an incident and had to come from the back again. He quickly moved to the front and was battling with Quintin Crye for second when he got into a tight race with Bud Kaeding who was running the Mike Sala #19 entry. Justin and Bud had a great battle going, but the two leaders were nose to tail and pulling away. Justin finally secured the 3rd spot from Bud, but there was not enough time to track down the leader. He did catch the 2nd place car, but it was on the last lap, and he ended up 3rd. The car was good, and it was an exciting battle between Justin and Bud Kaeding. Quintin Crye won with a late race move on Jimmy Christian.
